Aren't these watercolor turkeys AMAZING?!? I love that each child chose their own wild colors! These disguised turkeys did not get caught for Thanksgiving dinner! Thank you, families, for helping your little lion with this fun holiday project!
On Friday, the 47th day of school, we (pretend) jumped rope to practice counting! What a great way to get moving early in the day!
Here is our pumpkin from start to finish! We started with observing our pumpkin and making predictions about how many seeds were in our pumpkin. We carefully opened our pumpkin and continued to observe what we saw. Together we "gutted" the pumpkin while the students explored (with their hands!) the pulp. That was fun to watch! We grouped our seeds by 10s, then put them on 100 charts. In total, our pumpkin had 290 seeds! Finally, we voted on how to carve the pumpkin. Below, our jack-o-lantern comes to life!
