This week was the 2nd week we visited the computer lab. We are using a program called KidPix to become familiar with how to use a computer mouse. Soon, we will explore a website called www.starfall.com. It is a great resource you can access from home too!

This is how the children check in each day. Upon entering the classroom, students select their clothespin and choose their lunch (two tray lunches options or lunch from home). Having them create a number line using a yardstick helps them mathematize their world.
Technology is AMAZING!!!! This week Apple TV was installed in our classroom. This allows our iPad to be projected on our Promethean Board. I am able to turn on "camera" on the iPad; and whatever I point it at appears on the screen! As you can see here, the students are looking at themselves live on the BIG board. We used this awesome feature to share our writing on "Alexander TV" this week. So cool! We had almost all our Lion families at Open House. What a great feeling to be surrounded by supportive parents! Thank you all so much for attending!
Ever wonder what 26 four and five year olds look like while learning? Here they are!! Lions hard at work exploring math manipulatives and building relationships with fellow classmates. The first 7 days of school have been priceless!
Today the Lions worked hard on an art project! These amazing works of art will be displayed at next Tuesday's Open House!
Finished! Welcomed all 26 of our new LIONS today. Looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and working alongside amazing parents!
