Little lions worked hard to read names and deliver their valentines! Your child should have come home with a scrapbook of their valentine cards! They had a great time opening, sorting, and pasting their valentines into a unique keepsake book! This is much better than bringing home a box of little pieces of paper. :) More sorting and pasting! Check out our valentine art in the background! We also enjoyed some delicious ice cream sundaes!

Have you heard of the Aging Booth app?? You take a picture, then the app "ages" the photo! We used this app this week when the students wrote to the prompt, "When I am 100 years old..." The students did an amazing job, and came up with some really creative answers! Look for these to come home in the next few weeks... they are keepers!
Did you wonder about those toilet paper rolls you sent in? We used them to make heart-shaped stamps! We used watercolor paints to color our white paper, then stamped with tempera paint! The results are beautiful!
One of our 7 stations was to build a tower to 100. The kids had a blast with Gabby's mom trying to meet this challenge! Another station was building a structure with 100 cups. Luke's dad helped the kids become master builders! (This station was in the hallway due to the cups crashing down!) The students enjoyed stories about 100. Ronin's mom helped create a quiet corner in the hallway overlooking the courtyard for students to celebrate literacy! The students also had a writing opportunity when they had to complete this sentence: "If I had $100, I would buy..." Christopher's mom helped our little spenders! Jack's mom and Reese's mom helped students build a special snack made of 100 food items! The students practiced counting and patterns. This station was a HIT! Our 100th Day stations were super successful! Thanks to our volunteers, each station was guided by an adult. In addition to the parents referenced above, Sarah's aunt and Nathan's mom also helped out. THANK YOU!!!
